A skeleton tourbillon for a club’s 125th year
The Jacob & Co. FC Barcelona 125th Anniversary Edition, reference EX112.43.AB.AA.ABRUA, in an 18-carat rose gold case, 44 mm across and 12.3 mm high. Its skeleton bridges are printed with FC Barcelona details and it has a red anodised aluminium inner ring, on a blue honeycomb rubber strap with an 18-carat rose gold pin buckle.
Jacob & Co. designed this Epic X Tourbillon with FC Barcelona for the club’s 125th anniversary, and describes it as the first timepiece made with the club’s official logo and branding. The crest sits at 12 o’clock over the mainspring barrel, and the inscriptions “FC Barcelona” and “125 Years” appear on the vertical bridges. A “Barça” print marks the caseback.
Hand-wound calibre JCAM46 is a skeleton movement with a one-minute tourbillon, 171 components and a 72-hour power reserve. The tourbillon keeps the escapement turning, which offsets the effect of gravity on accuracy. This version is limited to 125 pieces.
