A split-flap watch set with baguettes
The Jacob & Co. Epic SF24 Tourbillon Baguette, reference ES802.30.AB.AA.A, in an 18-carat white gold case, 45 mm across and 13.65 mm high at the centre. Its case and blue dial are set with 104 multicoloured baguette-cut sapphires (≈11.28 ct), on a blue alligator strap with an 18-carat white gold deployant buckle.
In this Arlequino version the case, hour markers and hands are white gold, and the baguette-cut stones are multicoloured sapphires, 79 on the case and 25 on the dial.
Jacob & Co. describes this watch as the high jewellery version of the Epic SF24 Tourbillon, with invisibly set baguette-cut gems. It keeps the same travel layout. The second time zone sits in a tubular extension of the case, in a wide sapphire tube. One set of flaps carries 24 reference cities and the other shows the time in the chosen city. The crown at 4 o’clock sets local time, and moving it also moves the second time zone. A pusher on the side of the extension steps both flap displays together.
Self-winding calibre JCAA03 has 528 components and a 48-hour power reserve. The flying tourbillon is off-centre and turns once a minute. Its carriage is held only from below, so there is no upper bridge. A wheel, visible through an opening on the dial, links the case extension to the base movement. This version is limited to 9 pieces.
