Baguette sapphires on a case without lugs
The Jacob & Co. Brilliant, reference BQ020.40.BA.AA.A, in an 18-carat rose gold case, 38 mm across and 9.70 mm high. Its white mother-of-pearl dial carries 11 kite-shaped rainbow sapphires and 42 round diamonds, on a white alligator strap with an 18-carat rose gold buckle.
Brilliant is round and has no lugs, with the strap attached directly to the case. On this version 52 multicolour baguette sapphires (≈3.75 ct) and 12 round diamonds (≈0.18 ct) are set on the case and crown.
The movement is Swiss quartz and shows hours and minutes. Jacob & Co. says the rounded edges of the case give the collection its name, and describes the work as running from choosing the gems, through cutting, to setting. This version is limited to 36 pieces.
