The Jacob & Co. Billionaire II, reference BL110.39.BD.AA.A39BD, in an 18-carat white gold case, 54 x 40 mm and 11 mm high. Case, inner ring, movement bridges and bracelet are set with white diamonds, 429 in all, and the bracelet is 18-carat white gold with a folding clasp.
Jacob & Co. built this watch around its gem-setting, and the movement was developed to serve it. The bridges are thin and laid out in a geometric pattern that Jacob & Co. compares to the facets of a diamond. Made of white gold, they can carry stones of their own. The hands are blued and skeletonised.
Hand-wound calibre JCAM39 was developed for the Billionaire collection. It has 167 components, a 72-hour power reserve and a one-minute tourbillon. Jacob & Co. says the tourbillon is aligned vertically with a large barrel, which stores the energy for the 72 hours. This version is limited to 18 pieces.
