A dragon and a tiger around a fixed movement
The Jacob & Co. Astronomia Dragon, reference AT114.30.AA.UB.A, in an 18-carat white gold case with sapphire side panes, 47 mm across and 24 mm high. It has an openworked titanium and 5N dial, on a green alligator leather strap with an 18-carat white gold and titanium deployant clasp. This version is a pièce unique.
Jacob & Co. built the Astronomia as a vertical, rotating movement. For the Dragon it fixed that movement in place, which leaves room for a coiled sculpture between the four satellite arms. Like every Astronomia, it models a solar system: the Earth is a magnesium globe and the moon is a white diamond.
Hand-wound calibre JCAM47 has 337 components and a 60-hour power reserve. Its tourbillon turns on a single axis in 60 seconds. The diamond moon and the Earth globe each turn on their own axes in 30 seconds.
