The Centigraphe in titanium and aluminium
The F.P. Journe Centigraphe, reference CTS2, in titanium on the titanium bracelet, both with rubber inserts, with the slate grey aluminium alloy dial, luminescent numerals and sapphire counters. 44 mm and 11 mm high, hand-wound calibre 1506 in aluminium alloy, timing to a hundredth of a second.
This is the titanium Centigraphe of the lineSport collection, produced between 2018 and 2020 in F.P. Journe's account. The case is 44 mm and 11 mm high with a ceramic-inlaid bezel and rubber inserts, and the brand puts the weight of the whole watch at around 81 grams. The hand-wound calibre 1506 is made here in aluminium alloy. As with every Centigraphe, the brand gives 30% of the profits from each sale to the ICM in Paris for brain and spinal cord research.
The chronograph times from a hundredth of a second to 10 minutes. Its hands do not draw on the timekeeping train: two trains driven from the centre of the mainspring carry the hundredth and 20-second hands, and a third, from the barrel arbor, the 10-minute hand, which F.P. Journe says leaves the balance amplitude unaffected while the chronograph runs. The hundredth hand is released by a wheel on the escape wheel and turns once a second at 10 o'clock; the 20-second counter is at 2 and the 10-minute counter at 6.
For collectors
The rocker in the case band at 2 o'clock replaces the two buttons usually set either side of the crown, so one control starts, stops and zeroes the chronograph. F.P. Journe patented that control separately from the movement's isolated chronograph trains, which carry a patent of their own.

Design and engineering
- Isolated chronographSeparate trains from the mainspring's centre and the barrel arbor keep the chronograph off the going train. The cost is reserve, not rate: 80 ± 2 hours with the chronograph stopped, 24 ± 2 hours with it running.
- Fractional readingThe hundredth hand can be stopped between two divisions: its pinion is lifted vertically from the escapement's and braked on its pivot shank.
- Return to zeroHammers on snail cams for the 20-second and 10-minute arbors; a beak on the hundredth hand's pinion stops it at zero and blocks the chronograph train.
- Rubber insertsFixed to the case and the bracelet links, in the brand's comparison like the bumpers of old cars, to protect the titanium from rubbing on smooth surfaces. The folding clasp adjusts by about 5 mm.
- DialAluminium alloy in yellow or slate grey, applied luminescent indexes and numerals, three counters in sapphire, luminescent steel hour and minute hands and red lacquered titanium small hands.
