Overview

The Tonneau skeleton XL with two time zones

The Cartier Tonneau skeleton XL, reference WHTN0006, in a platinum case, 52.4 x 29.8 mm and 10.4 mm thick, with two dials formed by skeletonised bridges. Manually wound calibre 9919 MC with a second time zone, on a blue alligator leather strap. Cartier limits this version to 100 numbered pieces.

Cartier dates the Tonneau to 1906 and says the watch's contours dictate the form of its movement. This version is the Tonneau skeleton XL.

The movement is the manually wound Manufacture calibre 9919 MC, which gives a second time zone through separate hour and minute indications. Blued-steel sword-shaped hands show the time on both dials. The movement has 35 jewels, a balance at 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of approximately 60 hours.
