The Cartier Santos-Dumont, reference WGSA0124, in a 950/1000 platinum case, 43.5 x 31.4 mm and 7.3 mm thick, with a silvered dial. Manufacture calibre 430 MC with manual winding, on an interchangeable platinum bracelet.
Cartier dates the Santos-Dumont to 1904 and says Louis Cartier answered the wish of the Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont to read the time while flying. Cartier names the rounded angles of the dial, the horns that curve without a seam, and the exposed screws as the features of the design.
The movement is the manually wound calibre 430 MC, which shows the hours and minutes. A sapphire crystal covers the dial.
