The large Santos de Cartier in a 47.5 x 39.8 mm case
The Santos de Cartier, reference WGSA0029, in a yellow gold case, 47.5 x 39.8 mm and 9.38 mm thick, with a silvered opaline dial. Automatic calibre 1847 MC, on a yellow gold bracelet with the SmartLink adjustment system.
Cartier traces the Santos de Cartier to 1904, when Louis Cartier met the wish of the Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont to tell the time while flying. Cartier names the rounded dial angles, the continuous curve of the horns and the visible screws as the features of its design.
This is the large model. The movement is the automatic calibre 1847 MC, which shows the hours, minutes and seconds with a calendar aperture.
