The Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921, reference 82035/000R-H114, in 18K pink gold with a grained silver-toned dial, blue Arabic numerals and a blue calfskin strap. Manual-winding calibre 4400 AS with hours, minutes and small seconds, read diagonally with the crown at 1:30; 40 × 40 mm, 8.06 mm high.
The reference 82035/000R-H114 is Vacheron Constantin's Historiques American 1921. Vacheron Constantin describes the case as reissuing a 1921 design made for the American market, set on the wrist at an angle so the crown sits away from 3 o'clock rather than square to the strap. The case measures 40 × 40 mm and 8.06 mm high, with a transparent sapphire case back and water resistance to 30 m. The grained silver-toned dial carries a railway minute track and a small-seconds sub-dial at 3 o'clock, with hour and minute hands and hour-markers in 18K gold; the Arabic numerals are blue and the hands blued, with a snailed seconds counter, and the watch is worn on a blue calfskin strap closed by a pink gold Ardillon buckle.
The manual-winding calibre 4400 AS drives the small-seconds display at 3 o'clock alongside the hours and minutes: 28.6 mm across, 2.8 mm high, with 127 parts and 21 jewels, running at 28,800 V.P.H. (4 Hz) for a stated 65-hour power reserve, which Vacheron Constantin separately describes as nearly three days. The watch is certified to the Hallmark of Geneva; Vacheron Constantin dates the mark to 1886, when the Republic and Canton of Geneva established it as a standard for quality watchmaking in the city. The case back is sapphire crystal, and the watch is water-resistant to 30 m.
