Overview
A titanium dual time built for extremes
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time, reference 7930V/210T-H074, in titanium with a blue triple-finish dial and orange dual-time hands, on the titanium bracelet with its steel-and-titanium triple folding clasp. Self-winding calibre 5110 DT/3 with a second time zone and day-night indicator; 41 mm, 12.2 mm high, certified to the Hallmark of Geneva.
This execution is the same titanium Overseas Dual Time case and calibre 5110 DT/3 movement as the brown-dialled reference, with a blue dial in the same triple finish and orange dual-time hands. The two rubber straps supplied are blue and orange rather than brown and orange.
The reference 7930V/210T is Vacheron Constantin's Overseas Dual Time, offered in four dial colours on the same titanium case, which the brand's page describes as tracing back to a piece made for photographer and explorer Cory Richards and tested on his 2019 Everest ascent. The case, integrated bracelet and folding clasp are titanium, chosen by the brand for its light weight and strength; the bezel, crown and pusher ring carry a matte anthracite-grey finish set off against cutaway notches that echo the Maltese cross shape on the bezel. The case is 41 mm across and 12.2 mm high, water-resistant to 150 m, with a transparent sapphire case back and an antimagnetic marking on it.
Each dial is built from three finishes -- a grained centre, a circular satin-finished inner minute track and a lacquered outer track -- with snailed counters and orange hands marking the second time zone; the hour-markers and hands are 18K white gold, picked out in blue SuperLuminova®. Inside is the self-winding calibre 5110 DT/3: 30.6 mm across, 6 mm high, 234 parts and 37 jewels, running at 28,800 V.P.H. (4 Hz) for a stated 60-hour power reserve, with hours, minutes, a second time zone, a day-night indicator and a date. The movement is certified to the Hallmark of Geneva; the brand's own account traces the mark to 1886, when the Republic and Canton of Geneva adopted it as their standard, tying it today to provenance and craftsmanship rather than a single technical figure. The titanium bracelet, closed by a triple folding clasp in stainless steel and titanium, can be swapped for two rubber straps supplied to match the dial, using a further steel-and-titanium folding clasp the specification table names 'Double'.
For collectors
The brand frames this Dual Time as descending from the piece Cory Richards wore on his 2019 Everest ascent -- an attributed history rather than an independently verified one, and one repeated across all four titanium dial colours in this family, which otherwise differ only in dial tone and strap colour.
