The Vacheron Constantin Égérie Self-Winding, reference 4606F/000G-B649, in 18K white gold with a dial fully set with 574 diamonds, on a dark blue satin-effect calfskin strap with a white gold Ardillon buckle. Self-winding calibre 1088 with date and central seconds; 35 mm, 9.52 mm high.
This execution is in 18K white gold rather than pink gold, on a dark blue satin-effect calfskin leather strap with a further dark blue alligator strap supplied, each closed by a gem-set Ardillon buckle in white gold. Its hands add a blued seconds hand, not present on the pink gold execution.
The reference 4606F/000R is Vacheron Constantin's Égérie Self-Winding, offered across this pair in 18K pink gold or 18K white gold. The dial is an 18K gold disc fully set with 574 round-cut diamonds (approximately 1.50 carats), with an off-centred date shown inside a further ring of 34 round-cut diamonds (approximately 0.1 carats); the crown carries a rose-cut diamond. The case measures 35 mm across and 9.52 mm high, water-resistant to 30 m, with a transparent sapphire case back.
Inside is the same self-winding calibre 1088 as the family's other Self-Winding pieces: 20.8 mm across, 3.83 mm high, 144 parts and 24 jewels, running at 28,800 V.P.H. (4 Hz) for a stated 40-hour power reserve, driving hours, minutes, central seconds, the date and a balance-stop function. The watch is supplied with two interchangeable straps, each closed by a gem-set Ardillon buckle in the case's own metal.
For collectors
The two references on this case differ only in metal -- 18K pink gold and 18K white gold -- with the same fully diamond-set dial, date ring and movement; the 9.52 mm case is noticeably thicker than the plainer-dialled Self-Winding models on the same calibre elsewhere in the line, a difference not explained on either page though the extra gem-setting under this dial is a plausible reason.
