The reference 4000U/000 is Vacheron Constantin's Patrimony Retrograde Day-Date, built on the self-winding calibre 2460 R31R7/3 and offered in a platinum case and 18K pink gold cases, each with its own dial tone and strap colour. The outer zone of the dial carries a circular pearl-style minute-track set with 48 polished 18K gold pearls, with the day and date shown by retrograde hands read against 18K gold bi-faceted baton-type hour and minute hands and 18K gold applied hour-markers. The case measures 42.5 mm across and 9.7 mm high, water-resistant to 30 m, with a transparent sapphire case back.
