Overview
Coloured Ceramics III
The RM 07-01 Coloured Ceramics III collection was introduced in 2026 and closes the exploration of colour and form that Richard Mille began in 2021. It adds the element the earlier chapters left out: gem-setting. Three models — Blush Pink, Lavender Pink and Powder Blue — are each limited to fifty pieces.
The dial is a grey PVD-treated red gold plate engraved by hand with a guilloché motif, a craft dating to the sixteenth century in which individual repeating lines are cut on a hand-turned lathe. Surrounding it are coloured ceramic details finished to the nearest micron, laser-cut rubber appliqués and diamond-set components housed within white gold inserts. The gem-set TZP ceramic bezel is fitted to a polished white gold caseband with satin-finished pillars.

- Gem-set TZP ceramic bezelThe element that distinguishes the third chapter from the two before it. TZP ceramic’s extreme hardness makes setting into it exceptionally difficult: the gold prongs and stones are inserted by hand, and the mitraillage finish demands absolute precision.
- Stone-set white gold casebandsPolished white gold casebands with satin-finished pillars, each colourway carrying its own combination: Blush Pink pairs diamonds with yellow and blue sapphires; Powder Blue pairs diamonds with pink sapphires and tsavorites; Lavender Pink combines diamonds with orange sapphires and rubies.
- TZP ceramicTetragonal Zirconia Polycrystal, over 95% zirconia. Hardness 1,400 Vickers, toughness exceeding sapphire, density approximately 6 g/cm³, high corrosion resistance and colour stability. Submicron grain permits a matt surface finish. Bezel forms require extended machining and grinding with diamond tools.
- Hand-crafted guillochageIndividual repeating lines cut into the dial plate on a hand-turned lathe, intersecting and overlapping to form the pattern.
- Multi-material dialGuilloché centre with microblasted coloured ceramic elements, laser-cut rubber appliqués and diamond-set components in white gold inserts.
- Three-part caseSealed by two Nitrile O-ring seals, assembled with twelve grade 5 titanium spline screws and 316L stainless steel washers.
