Black-coated titanium case, Chronopassion limited edition
The case is grade 5 titanium with a black DLC coating, not Carbon TPT®. The auction record identifies this watch as the RM011 Chronopassion Black Limited, reference RM011 AH Ti, made for the Paris retailer Chronopassion in an edition of 30 pieces and dated to circa 2009. It is among the earliest RM 011 limited editions and among the first examples to use a coated titanium case.
Against the black case and black dial furniture, the accents are white, red and yellow. The watch is fitted to a rubber strap with a black-coated titanium Richard Mille deployant clasp.

- Black-coated titanium caseThe tripartite tonneau case is grade 5 titanium — approximately 90% titanium, 6% aluminium and 4% vanadium — finished with a black diamond-like carbon coating. The clasp is coated to match.
- White, red and yellow accentsThe dial furniture is black, with the numerals, counters and hands picked out in white, red and yellow.
- Movement architectureThe calibre is built on a Vaucher automatic base with a Dubois-Dépraz module providing the flyback chronograph, date and month indication. Richard Mille’s own designation for the movement is RMAC1; auction records for early examples give the base calibre number as 6201.
- Annual calendar with oversize dateThe oversize date sits at 12 o’clock and the month indicator between 4 and 5 o’clock. The calendar distinguishes 30- and 31-day months and requires correction once a year, at the end of February.
- Variable-geometry rotorThe rotor’s winding efficiency can be adjusted by repositioning weights on its arms, matching the winding rate to the wearer’s level of activity.
- Case assembly20 grade 5 titanium spline screws with 316L stainless steel washers; the movement is mounted on rubber O-ring seals with silent blocks.
