Lange calls the Datograph Handwerkskunst the eighth model of its special edition, with a yellow gold case and dial and decoration on both the dial and the movement. Lange limits this version to 25 pieces and gives the amount of artisanal work involved as the reason.
The movement is calibre L951.8, manually wound, with 426 parts, a reserve of 60 hours and a balance beating at 18,000 semi-oscillations an hour (2.5 Hz). Lange lists two functions, the outsize date and the chronograph. The case is 13.1 mm high, water resistant to 3 bar, with a sapphire glass case back.
