The Grand 1815 in a 40 mm case
The A. Lange & Söhne Grand 1815, reference 233.021, in an 18-carat yellow gold case, 40 mm across and 8.9 mm high, with an argenté dial. Manually wound calibre L051.1, on a middle brown alligator leather strap with a yellow gold prong buckle.
A. Lange & Söhne no longer makes this reference. Lange gives the distance between the lugs as 20 mm.
The movement is calibre L051.1, manually wound, with 188 parts and a reserve of 55 hours; the balance beats at 21,600 semi-oscillations an hour (3.0 Hz). The case is 8.9 mm high, water resistant to 3 bar, with a sapphire glass case back. The strap is alligator leather, closed with a prong buckle in the case metal.
