The A. Lange & Söhne Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase, reference 139.032, in an 18-carat pink gold case, 41 mm across and 9.5 mm high, with an argenté dial. Manually wound calibre L095.3 with outsize date, power-reserve indicator and moon-phase display, on a brown alligator leather strap with a pink gold prong buckle.
Lange says the Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase is built around its moon-phase display. The brand explains that the display sits inside the circle of the hour and minute indications, which leaves room to show the moon and a starry sky at large scale.
The movement is calibre L095.3, manually wound, with 446 parts and a reserve of 72 hours; the balance beats at 21,600 semi-oscillations an hour (3.0 Hz). Lange lists three functions: the outsize date, the power-reserve indicator and the moon-phase display. The case is 9.5 mm high, water resistant to 3 bar, with a sapphire glass case back.
