A skeleton watch built around Cristiano Ronaldo
The Jacob & Co. Epic X CR7, reference EX120.43.BC.AB.A, in an 18-carat rose gold case, 44 mm across and 13.05 mm high. This Flight of CR7 version has a red Neoralithe inner ring and 26 baguette white diamonds (≈4.26 ct), on a black Cordura strap with an 18-carat rose gold pin buckle.
Jacob & Co. makes the Epic X CR7 together with Cristiano Ronaldo, and the watches are co-branded by both. They keep the Epic X identity of a 44 mm case, X-shaped lugs and a coloured inner ring. Two vertical pillars form the centre of the X that the lugs begin. The left pillar takes the shape of Cristiano Ronaldo in different postures, and the right one carries the CR7 logo and his signature. The barrel cover is shaped like a football, and an image of him is printed on the caseback.
Hand-wound calibre JCAM45 was designed as a skeleton from the start. The wide barrel sits at 12 o’clock and the balance wheel at 6 o’clock, which gives the movement its vertical layout. It has 158 components and a 48-hour power reserve. What remains of the mainplate is finished with perlage, sandblasting and vertical graining. This version is limited to 499 pieces.
