A roulette table in a 44 mm case
The Jacob & Co. Casino Tourbillon, reference CA100.40.AA.AD.A, in an 18-carat rose gold case, 44 mm across and 16.30 mm high. Its solid, polished black onyx dial carries 5N rose gold indices, on a black alligator leather strap with an 18-carat rose gold deployant clasp.
The platform base is 18-carat rose gold with red, black and green lacquered pockets. The hands are rose gold, in an exclusive Jacob & Co. shape.
A working roulette table surrounds the dial, with pockets numbered 1 to 36 and a zero. The pusher at 7 o’clock starts the wheel, which spins on ball bearings until the ball settles in one of its pockets. Jacob & Co. developed the table and describes the complication as exclusive to the brand.
Hand-wound calibre JCAM51 has 268 components and a 72-hour power reserve. Its flying tourbillon turns once in 60 seconds and is seen only from the back. Jacob & Co. says it had not previously fitted a tourbillon without showing it on the dial side. This version is limited to 101 pieces.
