A pebble-shaped case over a skeleton movement
The Jacob & Co. Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights, reference BS431.11.AA.AD.A, in a black PVD steel case, 44 mm across and 12.10 mm high. It has 5N leaf hands and a case pavé set with 251 black treated diamonds (≈9.53 ct), on a black satin strap with a black DLC ardillon buckle.
This version has black treated diamonds and a black PVD steel case, with 5N-plated gears in the movement. It is limited to 18 pieces.
Jacob & Co. launched the Brilliant collection in 2017 as a ladies’ line. The case is round, has no lugs and takes the strap directly, and Jacob & Co. likens its shape to a pebble. The Northern Lights series takes its colours from the lights seen near the polar circle.
Hand-wound calibre JCAM01 was developed for this model and is skeletonised. Components that would normally be solid are hollowed out, so the structure of the movement becomes its decoration, and even the Jacob & Co. logo is part of the design. It has 21 jewels and a 46-hour power reserve.
