Overview
Two floating triangles over a gem-set island
The Jacob & Co. Brilliant Mystery Pavé Diamonds, reference BM526.40.RD.AA.A, in an 18-carat rose gold case, 38 mm across and 10.15 mm high. The centre island is set with 89 round tsavorites (≈0.90 ct), on a green strap with an 18-carat rose gold tang buckle set with 33 round white diamonds (≈0.48 ct).
The central island carries tsavorites, and the strap is green.
Brilliant is the ladies’ collection Jacob & Co. introduced in 2017: round, without lugs, with the strap attached directly to the case. Mystery Pavé is presented as a tribute to mystery clocks, which Jacob & Co. credits to the 19th-century watchmaker Jean-Eugène Robert-Houdin. The ring-shaped case is set all round, on its edges and on the inner island.
A quartz movement inside the central island drives two stacked sapphire discs, one for the hours and one for the minutes. The discs are transparent and fill the space between island and case. Two black triangles are printed on them, so the time appears to float.
