Pandas and bamboo on a vertical movement
The Jacob & Co. Astronomia Art, reference AS912.30.AA.AB.A, in an 18-carat white gold case, 44 mm across and 24 mm high. Its dial is rose gold-plated titanium, and its base dial shows hand-engraved pandas and bamboo. The watch is on a black alligator strap with an 18-carat white gold deployant clasp.
Astronomia Art stands hand-made miniatures between the arms of the vertical Astronomia movement. This version has three arms, and Jacob & Co. says its craftspeople engrave and paint the subjects by hand. Here they are pandas among bamboo.
Hand-wound calibre JCAM42 has 337 components and a 48-hour power reserve. Its flying tourbillon turns in 60 seconds, and a blue-lacquered globe also turns in 60 seconds. An emerald green cubic zirconia in the Jacob cut sits on top of the movement. This version is limited to 9 pieces.
