Cartier dates the design of the Panthère de Cartier watch to the 1980s and says the name comes from the bracelet of the same name. This is the small model, with a quartz movement.
The case is set with 36 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 0.25 carats, and the octagonal crown carries one more of 0.02 carats. The dial holds 172 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 0.47 carats, with rose gold-finish sword-shaped hands.
