It describes the gongs as attached to a 0.6 mm sapphire crystal membrane that acts as a soundboard, a caseback opened by an extra-thin "secret" cover with side apertures to carry the sound, a crown that corrects the month forwards or backwards and returns to neutral by itself, and an astronomical moon in which two concentric discs printed with six moon positions combine into ten images of the lunar cycle.
